Happy New Year! A new year brings new challenges and opportunities. One of the most important questions I asked myself is, “What you did well? What can you improve upon?” As we enter the new year it’s important to not only look forward to what is to come, but also reflect on the year that was.
2020 brought with it some great areas of growth for me. My confidence as well as my skill have both increased. I was able to also book several service photoshoots which was not an area I had experience in previously. Here are some of my favorite senior shots.
I can definitely say that senior photos became a saving grace in the midst of the pandemic. Despite only having one wedding, I had 4 senior shoots. This is definitely an area where I will continue to build my brand.
2020 was not without it’s missteps. My social media and marketing presence was definitely not as effective as it could have been. I spent money on ads that didn’t generate any new customers. I barely posted any of the great work I have done. Also, I didn’t reach out to my internal network enough. All of these are lessons to learn from moving forward.
Heading into 2021 I will be focusing on expansion by getting better at offerings in a few core areas:
- Weddings and Engagements
- Senior photos
- Headshots
- Branding
I am not limited to these offerings but feel I can concentrate here, make customers happy and grow my business. Customer satisfaction is the number one goal.
2021 will also be a year of increased social media and marketing activity. This will be an integral part of my growth strategy. That also includes blogging regularly. My goal is to expand my client reach to those whom I may not know personally. If I do a good job with those who find know me the word will spread and the business will grow!
So here’s wishing 2020 a fine farewell and welcoming 2021 with open arms. I look forward to any comments and feedback on my goals and the images posted as well.
